About Us
Why did we come to be…
Damaris O’Brien Phillips, founder and CEO of Phillips Madison, grew up in the city of Madison, NC. By the time he was in the 3rd grade amongst a family of five, life happened. He would go on to struggle with homelessness as he’d live in the Salvation of Army and in and out of close relatives homes. Fast forward to his senior year of high school, he stayed out as long as possible at prom to prolong his inevitable reality of venturing back to the Comfort Inn Hotel with which he currently called home.
Despite his early struggles he’d graduate from Winston Salem State University in Winston-Salem, NC with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing in 2010. He’d also graduate from High Point University in High Point, NC with an MBA with a concentration in Global Leadership in 2017. Fast forward to 2019 he’d graduate from Leadership Greensboro and that’s when the question would be posed, “what will you do with what you’ve learned in this program?”
July 10, 2019 is when Phillips Madison would be born. Phillips Madison is a luxury watch company that provides stylistic and quality watches to consumers in an effort to make you stand out amongst the crowd. We want to be there every step of the way. When you graduate college, land your first professional job, wed, unlike competitors where you have to have already found success based on their price points. We understand that in your journey to success you’ll have milestones that build towards successes and we are aiming to be the brand that will grow as your life grows. We want to make sure you stand out in time! Not only you but others on their journey to success and that is why we are committing to donating a portion of each watch sold to a highlighted non-profit that focuses on the journey to success whether physical, mental, or spiritual.
